Late May to June is a beautiful time to visit Grasslands. Deer: Deer are common in Grasslands National Park, including pronghorn antelope with distinctive markings, mule deer with massive ears, and white tailed deer with floofy tails that stick straight up when they’re alarmed. Keep an eye an ear open for the inquisitive prairie dogs which make this area their home.
